This will most likely be a "where have you been" , from early 80's fans , but I though this show , and it's great AUD ( thank you Charlie Miller ), to be most impressive . For us "Keith and backwards" folks , this is an example of what you are missing if you exclude the 80's . Some powerful playing from Garcia throughout this show . They really bring it to a boil in the "Supplication", and the "Music " jam . Same for the "Lost Sailor.St. of Cir. in the second set , this is one of those majestic versions of the songs , that make you wish they were all this good . A stately "He's Gone", with a pretty cool post vocal jam . Even the concluding "Good Lovin'" works for me , and I am not a Bobby GL fan .
A SBD might bring out the inner details of what Phil, and Weir are playing better, but for excitement and force, this is gong be hard to beat .
